About

IMPROVISATIONS is a body of work that references landscape oriented images throughout history that serve as methods of storytelling. Whether they are in the form of a relief sculpture, a scroll, or a canvas, each each of these influences tells a story with multiple figures within a placed setting like a stage for a play or a musical performance.

The characters interact and seems almost frozen in time. The images that I have created here are created in a way that is similar to jamming and improvising with another musician. The music starts, the energy flows, and the notes pour out of oneself which create melodies that are produced from the subconscious and are fleeting in time. It's therapeutic. It's cathartic.
